Tips N Tricks Tuesday (#10) - Projectile Shooting (Borderlands 2)

It's Tuesday again, so let's have another tip from Borderlands 2, shall we? ☺

***Projectile Shooting***
Borderlands 2

So there is this thing in Borderlands 2 called a Badass Rank. It gives your character boosts based on certain challenges you meet while playing the game. This rank is specific to your gamer tag / ID / profile, so all the boosts carry over to each and every character you happen to create.

Movie Monday (#24) - Attempted Assassination (Borderlands)

I have a crapton of vidz from Borderlands. Here's another.

***Attempted Assassination***
The Secret Armory of General Knoxx
Borderlands

There are four groups of assassins who try to kill you in the Secret Armory of General Knoxx DLC in Borderlands. I've been killed by... well, all of them at least once. In the following vid, I actually don't die. But then, I am a little over-leveled at this point. Check it out. ▼

Screenshot Saturday (#27) - Mobius Final Fantasy

I've only recently discovered the mobile versions of FF games. There are a few that are free-to-play and the newest of these is Mobius Final Fantasy. I freakin' love this game. So far. It's pretty awesome for a mobile app. Hell, it's just plain awesome. Check out these screens. ▼

—DLC Review— Claptrap's Robot Revolution (Borderlands)

Borderlands games are known for humor, bright colors, loot, and DLC that's almost as fun as the game itself. Each DLC is like a game of its own, thus worthy of a review of its own.

Tips N Tricks Tuesday (#9) - SPP Farming (FF Type-0 HD)

How about another video on how to farm for the special currency in a game?

Every game has currency of some sort and it seems they also have some sort of special currency as well. Final Fantasy games are no exception.

Simple grinding will get you the base currency, usually, but sometimes there are tricks to getting special currency faster than normal, even without cheats and mods. Today, let's explore the special currency in FF Type-0 HD.

Movie Monday (#23) - Slaughtering the Overseer (Torchlight)

I played Torchlight years ago on my 360 and I really enjoyed it. So when GOG put the PC edition on sale for $3, I grabbed it. It's as fun as I remember, but a gamepad is not supported. That's a little weird for me. lol

Yeah, so this is me, awkwardly killing the Overseer, one of the first bosses you come up against in this game. Check it out. ▼

I recently discovered there are free-to-play Final Fantasy mobile apps. Being a fan of FF, I immediately downloaded all the free ones. All The Bravest is the first to get reviewed. In a word, meh.

Tips N Tricks Tuesday (#8) - Leveling Up With Deathtrap (Borderlands 2)

Back to Borderlands 2! I did mention I have a crap-ton of tips/tricks for this game, didn't I? Today we'll talk about one I got from hubby and bro (again) and I'm not sure where they got it. It might be one they realized one day during one of their buttload of playthroughs. Who knows.

**Leveling Up With Deathtrap**
Borderlands 2
••must have Mechromancer DLC••

So this trick only works if you have the Mechromancer DLC character. If you have The Handsome Collection, or the Game of the Year Edition, you have this DLC, so no worries.

Gaige's action skill is Deathtrap, a truly awesome robot who kills lots of things. LOTS of things. Oh man.

He has a certain skill called Upshot Robot. This is essential for this leveling trick to work. It adds 5 seconds to Deathtrap's timer for every baddie killed by you or Deathtrap. ▼

On the Horizon (#16) - Scalebound

In which I chatter about games and game related items not yet released, and how much I must have them...

***Scalebound***

Ever see a game trailer that makes you drool? Then you discover it's exclusively for the game/operating system you despise most? You cry a little, but then you buck up and buy the game anyway.

That's how I imagine my future when Scalebound is released. Check out the E3 video I embedded below. ▼

This one's not set to come out until 2017.

Until next time...

Screenshot Saturday (#25) - Clash of Heroes

I've spent quite a bit of time playing Might and Magic: Clash of Heroes. It's a fun puzzle game. I took a ton of screenshots, too. The first set I shared here was from the first portion of the single-player campaign. This set is from the next section. Enjoy! ♥

Time to start part 2 in the single-player campaign.

On the Horizon (#15) - Fable Fortune

In which I yak about games and game related products that are not yet released, and how much I desperately want them.

***Fable Fortune***

I had no idea some of the devs from the now defunct Lionhead Studios got together and started their own indie company called Flaming Fowl Studios. No idea. I'm thrilled, for them and for us, the gamers who loved Fable

Check out this vid from YouTube where they talk about their upcoming free-to-play collectible card game, Fable Fortune. ▼

Tips N Tricks Tuesday (#7) - Finding a Dud (FFXIII LR)

In an effort to have more gaming tips than just Borderlands, I've chosen one from Lightning Returns (FFXIII) for today's Tuesday tip.

***Finding a Dud***
"Unfired Firework"
Canvas of Prayers Side Quest
Lightning Returns (FFXIII)

The following video is one I did when I [again] had to look up how to find the Unfired Firework required for this quest. I found the info I needed on IGN (again), and did a little video just to demonstrate how ridiculously easy this mission actually is. Take a look. ▼

Another Monday, another movie. This week's is from the Tiny Tina DLC from Borderlands 2

***Swiping Bloodfruit***

Tiny Tina's Assault on Dragon Keep

The Tiny Tina DLC is my favorite, hands down. It's hilarious. The video I've posted below is a prime example of that. Well, kinda. It's a little gross. Rated M, just FYI. ▼

New Loot! (#34) - Tablet, Batman, and Orcs, OH MY!

More loot! Woo-hoo! Check out my latest haul from one of Steam's mid-week sales. Oh, and there might be some new hardware in there somewhere too.

The Batman games were recommended to me by my nephew. He loves anything and everything Batman. I'm not the biggest Batman fan, but I don't hate him either. These games look like they're my kind of games, regardless of the theme. And you just can't beat 75% off. lol (I got them for only $5 each.)

Screenshot Saturday (#24) - FFX (HD Remaster)

I've played FFX for many, many hours on my PS4, so it's rather odd how little I've actually shared of my gameplay experiences. To that end, this week's Screenshot Saturday is all about Tidus and Yuna and all their friends. Enjoy! ♥

On the Horizon (#14) - Horizon: Zero Dawn

In which I blather on about games and game related products that are not yet released, and how much I desire them for my very own...

***Horizon: Zero Dawn***

I've mentioned my brother, right? Well, I have three. My oldest brother is the gamer in the family. He tends to stay much more in touch with upcoming games and whatnot than I do. (When I saw the trailer for NieR: Automata, I thought of him. Steampunk-ish, robot killing, dystopian future world; all his kinds of things [he LOVES Fallout 4]. I showed him the trailer; he hadn't seen it. That surprised me.)

I digress.

So he shows me trailers from time to time, or points me in the general direction of them, and I check them out. Some of them make me drool. The following is a perfect example of a drool-worthy game: Horizon: Zero Dawn. ▼

Tips N Tricks Tuesday (#6) - Killing the Golem (The Witcher)

Finally! A tip that's not related to Borderlands! LOL This one's for The Witcher. Enjoy the lightning goodness!

***Killing the Golem***

This tip is one I got from the strategy guide that came with my copy of The Witcher. I'm not sure who wrote it. Someone from CD Projekt, perhaps?

Movie Monday (#20) - Death To All Reavers! (FFXIII LR)

Lightning Returns is a pretty fun game. Being it's a JRPG that kinda takes all the rules of a typical JRPG and throws them out the window, it makes for some interesting gameplay.

One really cool aspect of this game is that the monsters can eventually die out. Yeah, if you kill enough of them, you get to kill what they call the Last One. Below, you'll find a vid of me (as Lightning, of course) killing the last Reaver.
