—DLC Review— Claptrap's Robot Revolution (Borderlands)

Borderlands games are known for humor, bright colors, loot, and DLC that's almost as fun as the game itself. Each DLC is like a game of its own, thus worthy of a review of its own.

Synopsis?
Ninja Assassin Claptrap has started a robot revolution and it's your job to stop it, vault hunter.

First impressions?
Aw, cute little claptraps everywhere! And they're attacking me!! SQUEE!! Smash! Smash! BOOM!!!

Graphics and voices?
Same as Borderlands, perfect for this game. 'Nuf said.

Gameplay?
The damn claptraps are so short! LOL I was attacked so many times before I even realized the little buggers were there. And some were kamikaze claptraps, which meant getting blown up before I even saw them. Thank goodness I had Bloodwing!

Storyline?
With the destruction of the Destroyer, Claptrap has become a ninja assassin. The whole point of the story is to stop him. As far as story goes, it's amusing.

Complaints?
Um... it's basically just a rehash of all the other DLCs for Borderlands, albeit from a more amusing perspective. Seriously. You fight, not the Destroyer, but Steele, Knoxx, and Dr. Ned as mini bosses before finally taking on Claptrap. I was really looking forward to this DLC too, but it was a bit of a letdown. It was funny, though, I'll give it that.

Overall?
Shooting Claptraps is fun. I encourage everyone to do it.

My rating?
♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ 6/10 life hearts.
Amusing, laugh-out-loud funny in some spots. Definitely worth playing at least once. I do begin to understand why some people hate Claptrap, though.

Where to buy?
The Borderlands Game of the Year edition includes this DLC, so unless you already own the base game, I recommend you go for a copy of that. You can even grab a used one, since all the DLC is a separate disc. Heck, if your buddy has the DLC disc, you can just borrow it once. Hubby bought one GOTY edition and one standard edition and we both have the DLC and can play the game together.
