New Loot! #46 - The "I'm Obsessed" Edition

The series in which I list what I've purchased recently...or what I've purchased that I've neglected to share with you lovely, lovely readers. 'Cause I haven't posted in a while...

So many games, so little time. Here's the latest...

---

***I'm Obsessed***
New Loot!

Divinity II: Director's Cut (PC)—
This was cheap. I mean, really cheap. It was part of a "Divine" bundle on Steam. Sounds interesting; I'm willing to give it a try.

Beyond Divinity (PC)—
This was part of a bundle on Steam. Three games for $3. Can't beat that.

Divine Divinity (PC)—
Part of the aforementioned bundle.

Bayonetta (PC)—
Considering my less than glowing review of this 360 game, it's probably strange that I went and bought it for PC huh? Yeah, I'm weird that way. lol

Tales of Berseria (PC)—
I always knew I was going to get this, ever since I played the demo. The price dropped low enough for me to justify the purchase.

Fable: The Lost Chapters (PC)—
I have this for Xbox, and it will play on the 360, but it's really glitchy. And for some reason, despite having the Anniversary edition, I wanted this one.

Fairy Fencer F: Advent Dark Force (PC)—
...and a crap-ton of DLC. I have FFF, but havne't finished it. I'm given to understnad ADF is more or less an "extended" edition of that.

That's all for now. Sorry for the HUGE time gap between posts. Depression sucks. And that's all I'm gonna say about that.

Until next time...

—DLC Review— Assassin's Festival (FFXV)

Some downloadable content needs to be reviewed for...well, REASONS—good or bad. FFXV has DLCs just like that...

—DLC Review— Episode Gladiolus (FFXV)

Some DLCs stand out, needing their own review, but not always because they're great...

I usually enjoy/love anything and everything Final Fantasy, but the Episode Gladiolus DLC is, in a word, meh.

—Game Review— Devil May Cry 4

I bought the standard edition of this game for a measly $5 one day in a huge sale Microsoft was having on Xbox Live. I liked the demo well enough to spend $5 to try the full game. Dang, I'm so glad I did! It's now in my Top 12 games.

Since I have both, I'll review the standard and special editions. They are very, very similar, especially gameplay-wise. The biggest difference is the extra playable characters you get with the SE.

—Game Review— Fable III

I loved Fable II and could hardly wait for the release of Fable III. The hype, the promises, my own eagerness to have a game that lived up to all of it... Alas, these were not to be.

This is a game that I probably wouldn't have played if it wasn't for my brother's recommendation. He's the real gamer in the family, though I think I'm finally giving him a run for his money. ;)

Screenshot Saturday (#18) - Borderlands 2

All this time with this blog and doing Screenshot Saturday and I have never shared images from Borderlands 2. How sad is that? It's one of my all-time favorite games; I've played several hundred hours on Xbox 360, PC, and PS4. Serious fan RIGHT HERE. That said, here are some shots from the Tiny Tina DLC on the PS4 Handsome Collection.

ROLL FOR INITIATIVE!

GOG Sale - Witcher & Torchlight

Fans of DRM-free PC games might be interested in the sale over on GOG right now.

All the Witcher games are on sale (and GOG is owned by CD Projekt, developer of the Witcher games, so buying the Witcher games from them is kind of a DUH, lol). The first Witcher game is only $1.49 right now, and Witcher 2 is only $2.99. If you've been wanting to try a Witcher game, now's the time. There are some great mods out there for these games, too. I will say, though, these games definitely deserve their M (Mature 17+) ratings.

The Torchlight games are also on sale. Torchlight is a fun action rpg that I've played on Xbox 360, rated T. Gotta say, I'm seriously tempted to grab the PC edition. In fact, I can't think of a single reason why I shouldn't. It's only $3.74. For DRM-free. It's really hard to beat that price and have the ability to play with mods, if modding is your thing. Torchlight II is also on sale for half off, making it only $9.99.

I don't know how long the sale prices will last, though the site indicates the Witcher series will be on sale for another 7 days or so. There are other games on sale too, so click on over and check it all out!

*Witcher screenshot was taken by me, but all things Witcher and GOG are © CD Projekt. This company does not in any way endorse this fan blog.

New Loot! (#16)

Another Xbox 360 game that's been on my wishlist for some time...

Action RPG

*Rated M for Mature 17+*

I've been wanting this since I first heard about it. The price was a little high for me, though, so I added it to my Amazon wishlist and watched it for quite a while before I broke down and decided to trust one of the Amazon Marketplace sellers. I grabbed a used (very good condition) copy for about $15.

I'm glad I did. If it wasn't for a little wear to the case, I'd have called it like new. The disc is pristine, though I haven't played it yet. I assume it works.

Until next time...

New Loot! (#6)

Holy crap. I went frickin' crazy a few weeks ago. I was going to share all the games/gaming-related items I bought, then I lost my internet... So I'm sharing all this now. :)

Dear God, this game is aimed so much at men, and pervy ones at that! [snort] Still, it's a pretty fun button-masher, and if you don't shy away from... suggestive garbage... I recommend it... so far...

***Devil May Cry: Animated Series***

Studio: Funimation Prod

*Not Rated* (I'd personally rate it M)

So, not a game, though definitely game-related as it's based on a game. I've watched all 12 episodes already, of course, so there will be a review in another post. Kinda funny, kinda interesting, kinda weird, kinda freaky, kinda gross. I kinda like it. A lot.

Super cute puzzle/platformer game, where instead of beating the crap outta things, you have to overcome the baddies and bosses by getting around them. Very neat.*

Cool game. I wasn't too interested in this when it first came out, even after playing the demo. But $2.99 (Xbox Live Marketplace Black Friday Sale) is the magic number for me.

Hilarious. More of an interactive movie than an actual video game, but still pretty cool. Only takes a couple of hours, but there are four more episodes on the way. And yes, I will be buying the season pass so I can save myself $5.* I mean, why not?
