New Loot! (#44) - "A Few More PS4 Exclusives" Edition

Yet another post about my recent gaming acquisitions...

***A Few More PS4 Exclusives***
New Loot!

It's a short list this time, but that's really no excuse when each game is $20+. Anyway, here's what I grabbed...

• The Last Guardian - this was actually a purchase for hubby, as he'd expressed interest in this puzzling, platformer-ish style game. I think the huge, rodent-like creature is cute and I want to know more. lol
• Sword Art Online: Lost Song - I already had Re: Hollow Fragment, and I love the anime series, so getting this was only a matter of waiting for the price to drop a little. It did, so now it's mine, all mine.
• Exist Archive: The other side of the sky - I stumbled across this on Amazon and it looked and sounded like a game I'd enjoy. Otherwise, I'd never even heard of it.

That's it for this round. I'll probably have another post about more new loot...later. :D

Until next time...

New Loot! (#26)

A few non-FF games we've gotten recently...

***White Knight Chronicles II***

Published by Sony Computer Entertainment/D3 Publisher

Developed by Level 5/SCE Japan Studio

Released 2011
PlayStation exclusive

*Rated T for Teen*

When I first asked hubby about getting a PS3, he told me to look for playstation exclusive games and let him know how many there were that I wanted. He was trying to determine if there were enough to make the purchase worthwhile. This was one of the games I found and added to the list.

I originally wanted the first game, White Knight Chronicles, but then I discovered that II includes a remastered edition of WKC I. Soon as hubby informed me that he'd ordered a PS3, I had him order this game for me. :D

***God of War***
Saga

Published by Sony Computer Entertainment/Capcom

Developed by SCE Santa Monica Studio

Released 2012

PlayStation exclusive

*Rated M for Mature 17+*

Five games in one, though the copy we got doesn't have the two games that are download codes. It's a chance one takes when ordering used games. Ah, well.

This one might have been a mistake anyway. Not sure yet. I'll have to play it and see if it's too gory for my delicate sensibilities. ;) It might end up being hubby's game, but he never really cared for bloodbaths either. We'll see.

***Gran Turismo 3: A-Spec***

Published by Sony Computer Entertainment

Developed by Polyphony Digital

Released 2006
PlayStation exclusive

*Rated E for Everyone*

Hubby's latest retro score. He had to complete his Gran Turismo collection, after all. Now he's waiting for the new GT game to be finished. Meanwhile, he can relive the joy of these older games.

Until next time...

New Loot! (#24)

More loot. It's been a great week in this particular gaming household. :D Tomorrow's post will detail why it's been such a great week...

***PS3***
LEGO The Hobbit Bundle

Produced by Sony Entertainment

Released 2014

Yeah, that's right. We got a PS3. I said we would and hubby surprised me. Now my copy of Heavenly Sword isn't so lonely. ;)

It's got a 500 GB hard drive and I know that's gonna come in handy. (My Xbox 360 has a 250 GB drive and it's only 25 GB away from full—yeah, I'm a game hoarder.)

***LEGO: The Hobbit***

Published by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment

Developed by Traveller's Tales

Released 2014

*Rated E10 for Everyone 10+*

This came with my used PS3, and I was thrilled to discover it was a disc. I was afraid it would be a download code. It's a chance you take with used games and systems. :)

This game happens to be available for just about every system under the sun. I won't list them all here, but clicking either image above will take you to Amazon, where you'll see all the formats.

***Gran Turismo 5***
XL Edition

Published by Sony Computer Entertainment

Developed by Polyphony Digital

Released 2010

*Rated E for Everyone*

Back when we had a PlayStation (about 16 years ago now), we had the first two Gran Turismo games. We loved them. Even I played them and I don't care for racing games. I will probably give GT5 a try, but this really is hubby's new game.

***Gran Turismo 6***

Published by Sony Computer Entertainment

Developed by Polyphony Digital

Released 2013

*Rated E for Everyone*

Can't buy 5 and not 6, right? So, of course, hubby bought 6 too. Once he receives GT3: A-Spec, he'll have them all.

He's a game hoarder too.

Until next time...

New Loot! (#12)

So much loot, so little time. I'll play 'em though. I'm determined. Here's my latest score...

***The Last of Us***
REMASTERED

Published by Sony Computer Entertainment

Developed by Naughty Dog

Released 2015

*Rated M for Mature 17+*

This came with my PS4 but I've wondered about it off and on for a while now. Being that it's always been a Playstation exclusive, I wasn't sure I'd ever have a chance to play it. Good thing the Xbox One turned out to be a bigger Xbone than we ever thought it could be, thus encouraging us to splurge on a PS4. lol

***Knack***

Published by Sony Computer Entertainment

Developed by SCE Japan Studio

Released 2013

*Rated E10 for Everyone 10+*

Hubby wanted this game and though I haven't tried playing it yet, it's super cute and our 9yo boy thinks it's great. We weren't sure he'd like it since he pretty much eats, breathes, and sleeps Skylanders, but he took to this game like a pro.

***PS4***

That's right. I finally got a PS4. Hubby bought it for me as a surprise. I got the one bundled with The Last of Us, a game I thought sounded intriguing.

I'll have more to say once I've used it more, but so far, I far prefer the PS4 to the Xbone.

Until next time...
